Our column caps are made from 3/16" A36 plate and are for connecting your posts to your horizontal beams

VB4 The N6 plate is usefulThe VB4 plate is useful for connecting truss bottom chords to top chords where the top chord sits on the bottom chord. V plates connect to roof members so they depend on roof pitch. Please choose the correct pitch and plate thickness from the dropdown. Please refer to the video to help you with choosing the correct V Plate. 3 16" steel is a good choice for purely decorative plates. 1 4" is better for applications that need structural support.
